With this conversion set, which consists of a motor shield and two matching ABEC-7 miniature ball bearings, many Märklin locomotives with drum-style commutator motors can be converted to run as smooth as silk. With the installation of the ball bearings, the driving characteristics are improved and the noise level of the engine is reduced.
The conversion set contains all the necessary parts to convert an existing Märklin drum collector motor with a 1.5mm anchor axle to a motor bearing with ball bearings. It fits all engines that can be combined with the Märklin conversion set item no. 6090 or the high-performance drive set item no. 60760 or the current engine conversion set 60941.
